Design Smart has extensive experience at developing plastic products. Our designs are suitable for immediate tooling without modification. This is achieved not only by having a sound understanding of plastic injection moulding principles, but also by employing open communication with specific tooling vendors. Our plastics experience also includes the use of high spec plastic materials which offer metal replacement capability. The likes of PPS, PPA, and PEEK, polymers all have high strength / temperature capability which can offer significant cost out opportunity for projects that would normally be reserved for metal components.

We are continually developing other plastic based products that are confidential and are not commercially available which are not illustrated here for obvious reasons. These projects involve the development of complex plastic component assemblies, which international patents have been applied for.
